Regarding the problems existing in the operation of the industry, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology pointed out that due to the large amount of new production capacity in various places, despite the continued intensification of efforts to eliminate backwardness, the national cement, flat glass and glass yarn production capacity still reached 3 billion tons and 1.04 billion weight boxes respectively by the end of 2012. , capacity utilization reached a new low, falling to 72.7% and 68.3% respectively.
With the frequent occurrence of haze weather, the Fiber Glass building materials industry urgently needs to accelerate the development of advanced technologies suitable for cement, glass, ceramics and other bulk industries to reduce nitrogen oxides, prevent PM2.5 and reduce carbon dioxide emissions; new inorganic non-metallic materials It is still difficult to guarantee local demand, and there is an urgent need to strengthen technological innovation and expand industrial scale.
In addition, due to the relatively lagging standards and specifications, the development and application promotion of green building materials glass yarn is not enough, and there is an urgent need for upstream and downstream interaction. Faced with the problems of overcapacity, high energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions per unit of industrial added value, large total pollutant emissions, and difficulty in ensuring continued products from emerging industries, this year the building materials industry will focus on transforming and upgrading traditional industries and cultivating and expanding the inorganic non-metallic new materials industry. and vigorously develop producer service industries.
To this end, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will carry out a mid-term evaluation of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Building Materials Industry", work with relevant departments to study and formulate certification standards and methods for Fiber Glass green building materials, compile a "Green Building Materials Product Catalog"; formulate and revise building materials sanitary ceramics, friction Industrial policies or access conditions for materials and other industries; formulate "Several Opinions on Promoting the Sustainable Development of Healthy Courses in the Refractory Materials Industry" to accelerate the development of the non-metallic mineral processing industry; increase technological transformation and promote the demonstration of new technology projects such as cement kiln co-processing.
