1. Thermal conductivity of Glass Fiber: As an insulating material, the thermal conductivity should be as small as possible. Generally, the thermal conductivity should be less than 0.14W/m*K. As a cold insulation material, the thermal conductivity requirement is higher.

2. Bulk density of glass fiber: The bulk density of insulation materials should generally be less than 600kg/m. Materials with low bulk density generally have low thermal conductivity, but at the same time, the mechanical strength is also reduced, so it is necessary to choose reasonably.
3. Mechanical strength of glass fiber: In order to prevent the insulation material from deformation and damage under its own weight and external force, its compressive strength should be no less than 3kg/cm.
4. Water absorption rate of glass fiber: After the insulation material absorbs water, it will not only greatly reduce the insulation performance, but also accelerate the corrosion of the metal, which is very harmful. Therefore, it is necessary to choose insulation materials with low water absorption.
5. Heat resistance and use temperature of glass fiber: Insulation materials with different heat resistance should be selected according to the temperature of the place of use. "Maximum use temperature" is the basis for the heat resistance of insulation materials.
