In order to further improve the safe, stable and durable performance of the glass yarn, after the warp knitting is processed into leno shape, it is coated with styrene-butadiene rubber and pure acrylic emulsion again, and constant temperature, constant speed and constant tension control technology is used to make the adhesive fully effective in the early stage. Resist the erosion of the glass yarn during the hydration period of polymer mortar Ca(OH)2. After coating, the anti-slip strength of the Fiber Glass intersection point is 3.5~4.5N.

In addition to the alkali-resistant coating, the main alkali-resistant way of the glass yarn is to form a mixed film of zirconium and titanium ions on the surface of the fiber itself to prevent the erosion of alkaline substances. As time goes by, the chemical state of zirconium gradually becomes stable. For example, the alkali resistance retention rate of the glass yarn in Table III is greater than 85%, which is much higher than other Glass Fiber alkali-resistant coated glass yarn, so we can also call it a natural glass yarn.
The disadvantage of glass yarn is its high production cost, which is related to zircon, rutile and melting temperature. It also has short material properties and its initial strength is not as good as that of medium-alkali and alkali-free glass yarn.
