Introduction to the role of glass rod in real life

May 14, 2024

We all know that glass rod is based on fiberglass woven fabric and is soaked in polymer anti-emulsion coating. Therefore, it has good alkali resistance, flexibility and high tensile strength in the longitudinal and latitudinal directions, and can be widely used for thermal insulation, waterproofing, crack resistance, etc. of interior and exterior walls of buildings.

Fibreglass Resin

glass rod is based on medium-alkali or alkali-free Fiber Glass woven fabric and treated with alkali-resistant coating. This product has high strength and good alkali resistance. It plays an important structural role in the insulation system and mainly prevents cracks. Due to its excellent resistance to acid, alkali and other chemical substances and its high longitudinal and latitudinal tensile strength, it can evenly disperse the stress on the exterior wall insulation system and avoid damage to the entire insulation caused by collision and extrusion due to external impact. The deformation of the structure makes the insulation layer have high impact strength and is easy to construct and quality control. It plays the role of "soft steel bar" in the insulation system.
Interior wall insulation alkali-resistant Fiber Glass is made of medium-alkali or glass rod as the base material and then coated with modified acrylate copolymer glue. It has the characteristics of light weight, high strength, temperature resistance, alkali resistance, waterproof, corrosion resistance, crack resistance, and dimensional stability. It can effectively prevent the overall surface tension shrinkage of the plaster layer and cracking caused by external forces. glass rod with poor performance is often used for wall renovation and interior wall insulation. Fiber Glass: 5mm*5mm, 4mm*4mm Weight: 80g---165g/㎡ Width: 1000mm----2000mm Length: 50m-300m or according to customer requirements.
Main properties: excellent alkali resistance, durability: high tensile strength and deformation resistance, anti-cracking: no deterioration, no foaming: excellent self-adhesiveness, no need for pre-priming, quick to use, easy to construct.
1. Keep walls clean and dry.
2. Apply tape to the cracks and press firmly.
3. Make sure the gap is covered with tape, then use a knife to cut off the excess tape, and finally apply mortar.
4. Let it dry naturally, then sand lightly.
5. Fill in enough paint to make the surface smooth.
6. Cut off any leaking tape. Then, note that all cracks have been properly repaired, and use a fine composite material to modify the surrounding areas to make them smooth and new.
