Alkali-free fiber: R2O content is less than 0.08, which is an aluminum borosilicate component. Its chemical stability, electrical insulation properties, and strength are all very good. Mainly used as electrical insulation materials, fiberglass reinforcement materials and tire cords. Medium-alkali fiber: It is a soda-calcium silicate component. Because of its high alkali content, it cannot be used as an electrical insulation material, but its chemical stability and strength are still good.
It is generally used as latex cloth, checkered cloth base material, acid filter cloth, window screen base material, etc. It can also be used as fiberglass reinforced plastic reinforcement material that does not have strict requirements on electrical properties and strength. This fiber is less expensive and has a wider range of uses. High-alkali fiber: glass component with R2O content equal to or greater than 0.15. For example, Fiber Glass made from broken flat glass, broken bottle glass, etc. fall into this category.
It can be used as waterproof and moisture-proof materials such as battery isolation sheets, pipe wrapping cloths and felt sheets.
